The Disability and Immigration Taskforce of Illinois (DITI) strives to:

  • Empower and support immigrants, refugees, and/or asylees with disabilities and their families to access culturally and linguistically appropriate services
  • Create systems change through advocacy, education, training, and sharing resources that are inclusive of all communities

Survey CLOSED – Thank you to all who participated

Thank you to all those who submitted responses for the DITI survey for immigrants with disabilities in Illinois. We are reviewing that data and will publish any relevant findings as it becomes available.

About the Survey: While there is information available about immigrant groups and disability groups, it’s very hard to find data about immigrants who are also people with disabilities. The DITI survey covers topics such as housing, personal assistant needs, public charge, and more. The information collected will ONLY be utilized by the DITI to determine the needs of immigrants with disabilities and their support persons.

DITI was established by Chicago area disability and immigration advocates in the fall of 2019, with the help of national partners and the Ford Foundation.
