Electronic Document Specialist

The Electronic Document Specialist is responsible for maintaining Access Living’s electronic document management system (EDMS).

Disability Justice Mentoring Collective (DJMC)- YIELD Coordinator

Department: Independent Living - Community Supports

This is a full–time position created to coordinator the DJMC and YIELD program. In regards to DJMC, the Coordinator will connect 30 young adults with disabilities ages 12–24 with an adult mentor who also has a disability, or is well versed in the disability community. The pair will meet for at least one year and the coordinator will oversee this relationship. The Coordinator will recruit mentors and mentees, and work with schools and families to help youth participate achieve increased empowerment and disability pride. In regard to the YIELD program, the coordinator will develop youth leadership, and advocacy trainings to youth with disabilities, ages 16–24. Work with 1–2 schools per quarter to conduct 1–2 groups a week, for 4 weeks, to teach disability awareness, leadership and community organizing trainings.

Disability Inclusion Institute, Business Development Training Specialist

Department: Communications

Access Living seeks a Business Development and Training Specialist for its Disability Inclusion Institute. This role requires skills in sales, marketing, training, and project management. The Specialist will help develop, run, and grow Access Living’s Disability Inclusion Institute, a business training and consulting program. The fee-for-service program will guide Chicagoland businesses and other entities on disability-related access, accommodations, and inclusion. The Specialist will develop a sales plan to grow the program, and will be responsible for managing external requests for disability inclusion consulting. He or she will also be part of building, organizing, monitoring, evaluating, archiving, and conducting the trainings. The Specialist will work closely with, and will be supervised by, the Director of Communications.

Digital Engagement Specialist

Department: Communications

Access Living is looking for a spirited Digital Engagement Specialist to join our team. The digital Engagement Specialist will lead our social media and website content creation efforts. He or she will work with different teams throughout Access Living to coordinate digital marketing for our advocacy, fundraising, and service activities, to promote Access Living, and to increase awareness and engagement. This will include maintaining an organization–wide digital content calendar, posting on social media channels, writing and developing emails, and making website content updates. The Digital Engagement Specialist will work closely with, and be supervised by, the Director of Communications.
