Arts and Culture – MadMade Print Fair

November 15 @ 12:00 PM 4:30 PM

What is MadMade?

A one-day, community-centered celebration of art, care, and collective empowerment. This is not your average craft fair. MadMade Print Fair is a mad-positive, disability-affirming space that celebrates the creative contributions of artists with lived experience of madness and mental health differences. We are building a space of connection and cultural power, one that pushes back against both the clinical gaze and the romanticized tropes of mental illness. We are centering real people making real work which is bold, joyful, angry, vulnerable, experimental, and unapologetically human.

MadMade Print Fair is designed to celebrate, support, and showcase the creative work of artists living with psychiatric disabilities and mental health challenges. In addition to artist tables and programming, the fair will feature a dedicated area for mental health and community resource sharing.

The Fair will feature:

  1. Artist tables: Selling prints, zines, and related work in a welcoming, community-focused environment
  2. Hybrid artist panel: Join a public conversation with local and national artists about your process and lived experience.
  3. Discussion with the Center for Mad Culture: Explore how madness and art intersect, disrupt, and empower
  4. Mental health & community resources: A dedicated area offering tools and support from peer-led and social justice-based organizations.
  5. Accessibility is central. The event will be hosted at Accessibility Living—a fully accessible venue with ramps, elevators, and ADA-compliant bathrooms and hallways.

We invite you to bring your full self. Let’s gather in community to share art that challenges, heals, connects, and refuses to be silent.

MadMade is organized by Dylan Sturdy in conjunction with Spudnik Press, The Center for Mad Culture, and Access Living
