Emma is a storyteller, digital strategist, and unapologetic lover of the rule of three. She has worked as a communications professional in many different fields, including crises counseling, healthcare, and community development. She has worked on organizational communications, content creation, marketing, digital media, coalition building, and digital philanthropy through the #ILGive for #GivingTuesday campaigns.
She joined Access Living at the start of 2019 where she swiftly went from disability neophyte to an ardent advocate for disability rights. She has two bachelor’s degrees from Illinois State University, one in theater and the other in English.
Though she is no longer a professional actress, Emma retains a love of tap dancing, costume dramas, and a savagely delivered monologue. She lives in Chicago with a snarky cat, derpy dog, her best friend, and a distressing amount of animal hair. She also dislikes writing professional biographies for herself and procrastinated magnificently in the authorship of this one.
