Ben Chargot

 

Ben has experience testing and evaluating against WCAG and 508, as well as testing and evaluating for usability. He is a screen reader user with 25 years of experience with jaws, and is also proficient in NVDA, Mac/Voiceover, both on computer and mobile devices, and Talkback on Android. Ben is responsible for creating user journeys and workflows for testing, as well as producing final deliverables.

Prior to his role with Access Living, Ben was the Project Coordinator for Digital Accessible Experience (DAX) consulting at The Chicago Lighthouse, where he worked in digital accessibility testing and remediation and produced weekly radio segments on a wide range of disability topics.

Ben has led webinars and conferences concerning disability, and has been a guest expert on accessibility in many different capacities, including for Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). He is highly proficient in speaking to large groups, training other teams and individuals, and explaining concepts in ways that translate across industries and technological skill levels. With over a decade of experience in customer service, Ben has communication skills and approaches each client relationship with care, professionalism, and a knack for tailoring each interaction to their individual needs.
