Clarifications on Equip for Equality Priorities Session and Racial Equity in Data Toolkit

Wednesday, June 17

Dear Access Living friends and allies,

Today, we’d like to take the opportunity to clarify a couple of items from the last week.

Clarification 1:

We shared that Equip for Equality will be holding a community priorities input session online. The date for this event is Wednesday, June 24, not Wednesday June 16 as we originally stated. RSVP to attend the virtual meeting here.
Additionally, Equip for Equality is seeking input from the disability community through an online survey. Take the Disability Legal Needs Survey by July 3, 2020. The purpose of getting input from the Illinois disability community is to make sure that Equip’s legal services are meeting the needs of the Illinois disability community.

Clarification 2:

Second, last week we shared a link to a new toolkit about centering race in data collection work. This is a terrific contribution to research and policy work. The original link did not work for several interested persons. Here is the correct link. Please help spread the word about this new toolkit.
