Let's Talk About Medicaid: Knowledge is Power

February 11, 2025 | by Amber Smock

If you’re looking to learn more about how possible Medicaid cuts could affect people with disabilities, come join us tomorrow! Access Living and the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities is kicking off our new Knowledge is Power Series. We will be meeting every three weeks online to share about disability issues at the national level, and what regular Illinois can do to fight for what we need.

This is just the FIRST Knowledge is Power event! Our meeting schedule is every three weeks on Wednesdays from 1-2:30 pm Central on the following dates: February 12, March 5, March 26, April 16, May 7, May 28, June 18. Each session will focus on a different federal advocacy topic. For February 12, it’s Medicaid and why it’s important for us all. Come and learn with us! You do not need to be an expert to participate.

How to join us tomorrow: Use this link to register for February 12.  For more information, contact Jerome Palliser at (312) 640-2113 or jpalliser@accessliving.org. (A bilingual flier is at this link if you want to print it out to share with folks.)

Please share this virtual event info with fellow disability advocates who care about protecting Medicaid. Thank you!
