Access Living friends and allies,

A reminder to folks living in Chicago….Friday, May 13 is the last day to apply for the new one-year cash assistance program! Read on for more details.

Apply to be part of the Chicago Resilient Communities Pilot:

Do you live in the city of Chicago, while struggling to make ends meet with very little monthly income? Then the new Chicago Resilient Communities Pilot Program might help you out.

This new program will provide 5,000 low-income households with $500 per month for one year, no strings attached. Interested persons can apply and the 5,000 households will be selected by lottery. People who receive SSI can apply.

The information to apply is at this link. Please look carefully at the qualifications, and the info required to show that you are qualified. The deadline is midnight on Friday, May 13! The application is also available in English, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Arabic, Polish, and Filipino.

Access Living strongly urges people with disabilities in low-income households to apply. If you have difficulty with applying online, please contact Access Living at (312) 640-2100 or advocacy@accessliving.org to ask for help. The digital application is accessible for screen readers.

Please share this urgent important info with fellow Chicagoans! Thank you for your advocacy.
