Join us this Saturday, July 26, for the annual Chicago Disability Pride Parade!

It’s time to celebrate Disability Pride in Chicago! 

This year, the Grand Marshal is Commissioner Rachel Arfa, who runs the Chicago Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. Read more about Commissioner Arfa here. Congratulations Commissioner!

Line up is at 10 a.m., the Parade steps off at 11 a.m., and the festival at Daley Plaza begins around 11:30 a.m. Read www.disabilityprideparade.org for the details on location, transportation, and what to expect. You can also email askus@disabilityprideparade.org if you have questions.

You can march with Access Living at the Parade! If you would like to march with us, please go to the Access Living community registration link so we know to expect you. Feel free to bring your family and friends!

July 25 is the Disability Pride Open Mic

Come out for an evening of music, poetry, and disability pride! Support our community members living disability out loud. The Open Mic is on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Chicago Temple, 77 W. Washington Street, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Doors open and dinner is offered at 6:00 p.m. This event is also free. Please contact mfink3@uic.edu with any accessibility questions or requests!
