Cris joined Access Living in 2011, serving as a Community Support Coordinator for seven years. He was promoted to Advocacy Manager in 2018. Prior to Access Living, Cris worked at Center on Halsted and the Lakeview Action where he supported young people who identified as LGBTQ and were experiencing homelessness. In 2009, Cris received the 30 Under 30 Award from Windy City Times. He is a fierce advocate whose work is grounded firmly in harm reduction, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed interactions in both the disability and LGBTQ communities. He is on the executive committee of the national board of directors for Sex Workers Outreach Project USA and is a DePaul and AmeriCorps alumnus.
