Chris is Access Living’s Education Policy Analyst, leading federal, state, and local policy advocacy efforts – including legislation, policy development, and community education – to ensure inclusive education for students with disabilities. Her work includes analyses of school and state education budgets and special education policy matters. In 2018, Chris and special education advocates fought for – and won – oversight of special education reform of the Chicago Public Schools by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Chris joined Access Living in 2016 as a volunteer attorney, representing people with disabilities in housing discrimination cases. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Yonsei University in Korea, and a law degree from the Stetson University College of Law.
