Community Supports

Access Living Community Supports services support people with disabilities in their own homes. The program, funded by a Community Development Block Grant administered by the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, is designed to provide people with disabilities who are living in the community with the resources they need to continue living independently. Community Supports Staff will visit people with disabilities at their homes, assessing their needs and link them with services. Services offered through the program include: Homemaker services, daily living skills training, and assistive technology assessment and acquisition. Accessing the services, people with disabilities will have the resources they need to execute day-to-day activities like cooking, cleaning, managing a bank account and navigating computers and telecommunications.
