Part Time Arts & Culture Administrative Assistant


Position: Arts & Culture Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Specific Duties:

  • Assist Arts and Culture coordinators with programming, including, Artists-in-Residency program, Art and Advocacy Training Program, Mental health support group, arts and culture events and other public events regarding disability culture.
  • Tasks include: booking and arranging for event spaces, booking disability accommodations, confirming booking, handling administrative paperwork (including speakers’ and trainees’ payment forms, stipends, check-requests, quarterly reports and others as assigned), taking meeting notes, creating flyers, handling social media and announcements, etc.
  • Works with Communication Team on promoting arts and culture events and programs.
  • Works with Development Team on funding opportunities and reports.
  • Works with interns and students at the Disability Culture Activism Lab.
  • Fields all inquiries to Access Living regarding disability culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • A strong understanding of disability is required.
  • Must be able to handle detail-oriented tasks and communication with multiple parties.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Social media knowledge and management skills.

Equipment Operated:

Computer, scanner, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and basic graphic design programs, such as Canva.

Working Environment:

As of January 2022, Access Living is working remote full time. Later in the year staff will assume a hybrid (part-time remote and part-time in-person) work plan. Open cubicle environment for in-person work may be distracting for some people. Access Living requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID 19. Religious and disability accommodations to this policy will be considered, as required by law.

Compensation & Schedule:

20 hours per week. $20/hour.
