Book Launch Party: “From the Periphery: Real-Life Stories of Disability”
October 16 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Chicago Review Press, together with Access Living, invites you to the book launch of From the Periphery: Real-Life Stories of Disabilities, by Pia Justesen. Comprised of first-person narratives of people with disabilities, From the Periphery describes what it’s like to be treated differently due to a disability. Its stories are raw, painful, surprisingly funny, and deeply moving.
“This is a necessary book, and as uplifting as it is heartbreaking. These voices have gone unheard for long enough. May these stories of courageous Americans be read far and wide.”Peter Orner, National Book Critic Circle Award Finalist
