Access Living Community Support programs promote the independence of people with disabilities. The programs are geared toward supporting people with disabilities living in their own home and giving people with disabilities the tools to pursue economic opportunities.
Through these independent living initiatives, people with disabilities have access to tools that empower them to live and participate in their communities, and remove barriers that stand in the way of building financial assets and pursuing employment opportunities.
Community Supports Staff visit people with disabilities at their homes, assessing their needs and link them with services. Services offered through the program include: Homemaker services, daily living skills training, and assistive technology assessment and acquisition.
