Single Payer Health Care

Single Payer Health Care or “Medicare for All” is about providing high quality affordable health care to everyone in the country. It creates one entity funded by taxes that pays for all health care. It gets the profit motive and insurance companies out of health care and saves enormous amounts of money by eliminating the high overhead costs of our chaotic complicated and dysfunctional system that currently leaves 47 million people uninsured.

Access Living’s Health Care Policy Staff Person works with Health Care for All- Illinois, Chicago Single Payer Action Network, Physicians for a National Health Plan, and Health Care Now in support of single payer legislation, including HR 676 -- sponsored by Congressman Dingell.
