The 2013 “Lead On” Gala - Thank you for your support

At the end of the evening, Access Living announced the successful completion of a Challenge Goal, which triggered two confetti cannons!

On Monday, June 3, Access Living hosted the 2013 “Lead On!” Gala at Navy Pier. The theme was “Removing Barriers,” which Access Living has done on behalf of the disability community for more than 30 years. The event honored Senator Bob Dole and Author and Activist Susan Nussbaum with awards for their accomplishments on behalf of the empowerment of people with disabilities.

Nearly 600 people attended the event at Navy Pier, which featured a reception, dinner, award presentations, two live dance performances, a live auction, and a raffle. Governor Quinn also made a guest appearance. Many thanks to Ellen Costello of BMO Harris, the Corporate Chair, and Lance Rainge of Peoples Gas, the Event Chair.

Thanks for the outstanding support of many people, the event raised more than $600,000 support Access Living Programs and Services. To everyone who attended or contributed, thank you for your generous support.
