Town Hall Meetings: Fund Illinois Home Services

Last year, lawmakers passed a budget without enough funding for home care programs that seniors and people with disabilities count on. If lawmakers don’t pass additional funding to fully fund home care, 30,000 consumers could lose services or see cuts to their hours.

This Valentine’s Day week, join workers, people with disabilities and seniors to urge lawmakers to fully fund Home Care services.
Tell lawmakers to protect home care by passing additional funding now, and then work towards a FY 14 budget that will meet everyone’s needs.

SEIU Healthcare Illinois/Indiana has organized three town hall meetings this week across the Chicago area. Legislators have been invited to all of them. Come and speak out! All sites are wheelchair accessible.
