Managing Attorney - Community Integration
Managing Attorney — Community Integration

Access Living of Metropolitan Chicago, a Center for Independent Living, is looking for a full-time Managing Attorney — Community Integration. Qualified candidates for this position should have at least 5 years of litigation experience, knowledge of disability law and strong writing skills.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to implement, coordinate and monitor Access Living's community integration legal work. The attorney will promote the effective enforcement of the Olmstead Supreme Court decision, counsel clients, litigate cases, supervise staff attorneys and legal volunteers/interns. The attorney will be expected to develop external relationships with legal services providers and work to secure cooperating pro bono attorneys. As a key member of Access Living's Advocacy Department, the attorney will collaborate with Access Living's civil rights, policy and organizing teams on systemic disability-related civil rights initiatives.

A JD and proven leadership ability or experience in supervision and management is required. Experience with class action lawsuits preferred.
