Access Living Youth and Education Advocacy efforts focus on issues impacting young people with disabilities. We want to ensure that all young people with disabilities have access to a full range of services and opportunities. We organize campaigns, conduct outreach, and coordinate trainings designed to raise awareness about the rights of young people with disabilities, and enforce and implement the rights of young people with disabilities.
Education Outreach and AdvocacyAccess Living takes the lead in advocacy on targeted issues with state and local school administrators and governing boards on policy and legislative concerns that have an impact on students with disabilities. Read More
Advance Youth Leadership Power (AYLP)This advocacy group of young people with disabilities between the ages of 18 and 30 meets weekly at Access Living. AYLP members are generally youth who have gone through Access Living’s leadership training and understand how to use grassroots organizing techniques to press for social change.Read More
