The reception desk is designed to provide an accessible counter height (29-30” AFF) on the public side as the primary height. An additional shelf is provided at 42” AFF for visitors that require a raised writing surface.
The design provides a 6”-9” high toe kick to allow space for wheelchair foot rests on the visitor side. Additional knee space below permits a forward approach by the visitor.
On the employee side, the work area allows for a person using a wheelchair to turn 360 degrees. Outlets are within reach range including the ends of the counter.
